Story
I will be running the Stratford 10k in memory of my Dad, Paul Afford.
I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible for people affected by cancer and help make a difference to those who need it most.
There are now more than three million people with cancer in the UK. That means millions of lives have been turned upside down in thousands of different ways. Macmillan supports people, whether that is lending an ear, trying to find better ways to help people with cancer or helping to bring forward the day when everyone gets life-transforming support from day one.
Macmillan is a national charity, but their impact can be seen locally. They are in our hospitals and in the community. Macmillan is doing whatever it takes, but without your help, they can’t support everyone who needs it.
