Story
As part of our Catholic Social Teaching, we are raising money for the Hospice of St Francis — a charity that is very close to our hearts. The hospice provides compassionate care, comfort, and support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses, ensuring that every person is treated with dignity and love. In living out our faith through action, we aim to follow Jesus’ example of kindness and service by helping those in need within our community. Supporting the Hospice of St Francis allows us to show empathy, generosity, and gratitude for the incredible work they do in bringing hope and peace to so many.
The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care. Your support is ever more important, as NHS funding covers less than 20% of our running costs.
