Story

As many of you know, my twin boys, Thomas & Sam are sevearly Autistic and daily life can be challenging, so myself and Phillippa Hake have decided to take on the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge on the 9th of June in aid of The National Autistic Society (NAS) who are a renowned UK charity that works tirelessly to support individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Autism, a complex neurodevelopmental condition, can present numerous challenges for those affected. Individuals with autism often face difficulties in social interaction, communication, sensory sensitivity, and repetitive behaviors. These challenges can make everyday tasks that many of us take for granted, such as making eye contact, engaging in conversations, or coping with sensory stimuli, incredibly taxing for autistic individuals. The National Autistic Society plays a crucial role in providing resources, information, and support services to help individuals with autism navigate these challenges and lead fulfilling lives. By raising awareness, promoting understanding, and advocating for the rights of autistic individuals, the NAS strives to create a more inclusive and supportive society for everyone, regardless of their neurodiversity.
