Story
I'm taking part in a Little Stars Walk this Baby Loss Awareness week to raise vital funds and awareness for The Lullaby Trust.
The 10th October marks our first babies due date. They would have been 1 this year. Although we never held baby Ay in our arms, they are forever in our hearts. Since experiencing baby loss I have met so many others who have also experienced this heartbreak. I walk this for all the women and families I have met, in memory of their babies. During my midwifery career I’ve cared for many women who have lost babies at varying stages of their life, and I also want to do this walk in memory of them.
On this date we will walk 10k in memory of all the babies who we hold in our hearts.
Together we can ensure that the families of over 700,000 babies born in the UK each year can receive vital advice to help them keep their baby safe. We can also make sure that anyone affected by the sudden death of a baby or young child can receive specialist bereavement support whenever, and for however long, they need it. Together, we can keep striving towards a future free from sudden infant death.
