Story
Thanks for visiting our just giving page.
Cornwall Air Ambulance is an independent charity which is sadly not eligible for the millions of pounds raised for the NHS. The aircrew includes our very own runner- Paul Maskell, who is the inspiration behind the 24hr challenge having represented Team GB in the 24hr World Championships.
So on Saturday 13th July, commencing at 8pm, St Austell Athletes Running Club will begin a 24hr running fundraiser at St Austell Cricket Club. Teams of runners will complete continuous laps of the cricket ground over the 24 hr period, undertaking as many laps as possible, and most importantly, raising hundreds of pounds for such an important, local cause.
Cornwall Air Ambulance launched their #HELi2 appeal to help purchase a second lifesaving helicopter to support patients who are critically ill or injured from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The new AW169 is expected to arrive with us in the early part of 2025.
A new AW169 helicopter will enable them to deliver more missions, advanced care – and in turn, help them save even more lives. This will be the first time that Cornwall Air Ambulance has owned two aircraft and will put them at the forefront of air ambulance critical care provision in the country.
Next generation helicopters don’t come cheap, but the good news is that they already have most of the money towards the cost of a new one. By now launching the #HELi2 Appeal, to raise the remaining £2.85million needed to purchase this second helicopter for their patients.
If you’d like to support the fundraiser, please see the accompanying Just Giving link page below to give what you can.
Many thanks
