St Ann's New Hospice
Campaign by St Ann's Hospice (RCN 258085)
We've been caring for people in Greater Manchester and Cheshire for more than half a century, and we have big plans for the future. We need a new, purpose-built hospice that will serve the needs of our community now and in the future.

Story

We are raising money for the new St Ann’s hospice in Heald Green, Cheshire. Our aim is to raise enough money to have a room named in the new building in our dad’s memory.

Our dad, Ian Mellor (also affectionately known as Spider) was treated in his final days at St Ann’s following his courageous battle against Amyloidosis. The staff at St Ann’s were amazing and we are very grateful for the care they gave to dad. The support we received as a family from all the staff during such a difficult time was invaluable. In return we want to support their fundraising project.

Before our dad passed away, he wrote a book detailing his life as a professional footballer playing for Manchester City, Norwich City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Sheffield Wednesday and Chester City. We are selling his book with all proceeds going to help raise awareness of Amyloidosis and also raise funds for the new hospice.

We are extremely grateful for all donations however, the suggested donation for one book is £15 which includes second class postage in the UK (excluding Channel Islands/Isle of Wight).

PLEASE EMAIL spidermellorbook@gmail.com with your donation receipt reference and the postal address to send the book to.

Please email the address above for any enquiries about postage outside of the UK.

Thank you
