We lost my wonderful mum over 20 years ago at the young age of 49. When I finish this challenge I will be exactly the same age as she was when he died.

I have chosen 2 charities for this challenge that I know my mum would approve of. Myton Hospice and Molly Ollys Wishes.

Faith my beautiful wife is a volunteer coordinator at Myton hospice and I know my mum would be super proud of her. My mum was super caring and loved sharing great times and that’s exactly what Molly Ollys wishes enables for children and their families. This is also my works chosen charity for this year.

In 50 days I’m attempting to do 20 Olympic distance triathlons. Not back to back just the distance so swim 1500m x 20, cycle 40km x 20 and run 10km x 20. Starting on 6th July my mums birthday finishing on 24th August. On the 22nd September I will be exactly the same age as my mum when she died. 49 years 7 months and 8 days. I will be 7 months and 10 days just the way the months fall. Same number of days as my mum. This will be a significant challenge and I will spend a lot of time remembering how funny, loving and generally brilliant my mum was 😘.
