Story
To celebrate Refugee Week, the Source Global Research team will walk 10 miles to raise money for Breaking Barriers, a charity who supports people of a refugee background into meaningful work.
This is Source's second walk for Breaking Barriers. Last year, we raised £1,255 by walking the Beachy Head Lighthouse Loup. This year, we hope to raise even more by walking the Thames Path between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. The walk will take place on June 18, 2024.
Thank you for your support!

Refugees face unemployment levels four times the national average. Breaking Barriers’ mission is to welcome refugees into meaningful employment with advice, experience and education.
Since their founding, Breaking Barriers have assisted over 2,400 refugees from over 90 countries by providing employment and educational support. Between May 2023 and April 2024, they supported 1,232 clients, 90% of whom reported higher confidence levels as a result of their work.
All donations raised will go directly towards Breaking Barriers’ work, which includes offering one-to-one advice, education, and training for people of a refugee background. Breaking Barriers also partners with businesses to offer skills workshops, paid work-placements, and permanent job opportunities.
Source has decided to support Breaking Barriers because we believe in the power of responsible business. Our work with Breaking Barriers has allowed us to use our resources and extensive knowledge of the professional services industry to support a meaningful cause. In 2023, we undertook a sponsored walk and ran an employability workshop. We're looking forward to this walk as our next challenge in 2024.
