Sophie's Triathlons for Alzheimer's Society

Sophie Bucknall is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

2x triathlons

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In 2025, I will be taking on two triathlons. A sprint triathlon in May (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) at Holme Pierrepont and a full Olympic distance triathlon in June (1.5k swim, 40k bike, 10k run) at Rutland Water. I will be completing these to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a cause that is close to mine and my families heart.

We lost my Grandad in November to Parkinson’s dementia, and my Nan is currently living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Obviously, this has been tough, but it has made me determined to help make a difference and complete these challenges.

Every donation, big or small, will go straight to the Alzheimer's Society to help fund research and support for those affected by this terrible disease. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
