Story

This April I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. It will be my very first half marathon, in aid of Hydrocephalus, which my very close friend has been diagnosed with and I shall be fundraising for Shine as I stride!

Shine is a charity which provides specialist support to people living with Hydrocephalus and other complex medical conditions. This ranges from emotional, mental and medical support to parents, families and professional care staff.

I have always wanted to complete a half marathon and I simply can’t think of a better cause than to support my Chica.

She has undergone brain surgery twice now and thanks to the amazing team at Royal London Hospital, she is on her way to a full recovery and looking forward to carrying on with life and loving it to the fullest! I am so hugely proud of her.

My main aim is to increase awareness of Hydrocephalus, like many others we were unaware of the condition (so thank you for viewing this page as that’s spreading knowledge in itself!)

I really appreciate that the cost of living is difficult for many people but even the smallest amount you could give would be wonderful. Shine relies on donations to fund services and support people. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I can’t wait to do this for such a great cause and for my Chica, let’s get running 😊
