Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.Last year I raised money for the great western air ambulance on behalf of gramps.

My challenge - The Mount Everest Virtual Challenge takes you through an incredible 40 mi (64 km) journey to the summit of the highest peak in the world I am going to be swimming this

This is 2,575 lengths of a 25 meter pool !!

This year I have made it my personal goal to try and raise enough for another flight and take on another challenge.

Each flight on average costs £2,200 per flight and they get a lot of call outs during the day.

I discovered that they do not receive any government money, and relay on donations.

They are based next to the police helicopter, the police helicopter is funded but the air ambulance is not and is called out more often which seems very wrong to me. This is why i want to challenge my self this year and hope to fundraise for them.

Last year I completed 21 miles.

This year i have looked over the different challenges on the app that I use to track my distance and they had a few challenges but I did not want to do something like to swim the distance around Paris .

Looking at the challenges i have see one which is the distance to Everest summit which is a total of 40 miles ! !
