London Marathon 2025 for Sue Ryder

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In March 2015, my world was turned upside down when my dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He had no underlying health issues, and his death was a devastating shock to all of us.
My dad was a passionate athlete, always cycling to work, running, swimming, skiing, and cheering us on from the sidelines of all our sports matches growing up. The London Marathon will be my first marathon, in my home city, and it will take place exactly 10 years and 1 month after we lost him. I am deeply honoured to run in his memory, and for all the families who have also faced the pain of losing a loved one.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether thats a terminal illness or the loss of a loved one, they're there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
Having personally experienced the impact of a strong support network during the unthinkable, I now want to raise funds to help others. My goal is to raise awareness that even when the road ahead feels long and dark, there is support available. <3
