Story
I had the best 5 years at the University of Bristol- but it wasn't without its ups and downs! Knowing I was going into an industry with high prevalence for mental health, managing this at university was a massive key and the role of sport and exercise helped immensely! The mental health and wellbeing of students at the University of Bristol is a key priority. Suffering with mental ill health disrupts students' academic studies and personal lives, often causing them to miss out on the transformative and enriching experiences offered by higher education.
Running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine for many many years and after many failed ballot attempts (if you know you know) I'm thrilled to say I'll be running the London Marathon in April 2025 to support the University of Bristol's Healthy Minds programme-giving back to the University that gave me some of my best times. The programme helps students affected by mental ill-health to get more active through user-led, personalised support. Since 2016, the programme has helped over 600 students.
Any amount you can give will enable the programme to grow further, extend the support offered to students and help me achieve a dream of running the London Marathon . Thank you for your generosity!
