Story
Hello ! I am Sophie Royle - I have a wonderful husband, two beautiful children, and an amazing family with two stunning sisters who I call my best friends. We are a tripod - held together by my beaut of a mother.
In September 2019 our worlds were shook when my older sister, Gemma Duff, was diagnosed with secondary/incurable breast cancer at the age of 36. Since her diagnosis she has been an inspiration to so many but most of all to me.
On Saturday 14th September Gemma and I were meant to be taking part in the CoppaTrek! Peak District Challenge trekking 42.2km (a full marathon distance) around the wild and rugged Peak District in a bid to raise as much money as possible for CoppaFeel!
Unfortunately we could no longer make the arranged trek as Gemma had to attend a friend's funeral. So instead we have decided to complete the same distance, in the same time on Sunday 20th October with our husbands so that we could still fundraise for this amazing charity !
CoppaFeel! are a charity on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.
Thank you so much for your donation and support. To find out more about CoppaFeel! head to their website www.coppafeel.org
