Story

Swans Foundation is proud that it will be the first organisation to represent Wales at Street Child World Cup. This year is the fifth edition of the Street Child World Cup and takes place in the USA. 10 street-connected young people from Swansea will join representatives of 24 other countries.

SCU is a global movement using the power of sport, art, and advocacy to challenge the stigma faced by street-connected children and fight for their rights. The charity shines a spotlight on children living in street situations, the adversities they face and the fundamental rights they lack. SCU advocate for core demands: identity, protection from violence, gender equality and access to education.

Ahead of each FIFA World Cup, SCU connects street children from across the world to play football, take part in a festival of arts and participate in child-friendly Congress sessions, all designed to empower and champion their rights.

Thank you for giving young people this incredible opportunity.
