Story
It has taken something pretty important to persuade me to get my running shoes back on!
Footprints is a Nottingham based charity which transforms the lives of children with mobility and communication difficulties across the East Midlands. They support babies and children develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential. Having met a few of the team a number of times now, I am truly in awe of the work that they do.
Having had a year of no exercise due to complications with my pregnancy, I have found it incredibly difficult to get back into running but knowing that I am doing it for such an important cause has given me the motivation that I need. I am still incredibly nervous about the whole thing, but I am taking my training seriously and I am on track to run the Robin Hood Half Marathon at the end of September!!
I am raising funds to help Footprints CEC deliver more activities such as swimming lessons and equipment to support families with disabled children. You can read more about Footprints here: https://www.footprintscec.org/
Any sponsorship, however small will be very gratefully received and make a huge difference.
