The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will take place on Sunday 12 May 2024 and has been inspired by former Leeds Rhinos captain, Kevin Sinfield OBE, and his fundraising challenges in recent years in support of his friend and team mate Rob Burrow.

Story

One of my family members has just been diagnosed with MND & so I've decided to run the Rob Burrows Leeds marathon to help raise funds for the vital support they are about to receive. I am not a runner, I don't even really like running, I do however very much like carbs so I'm really looking forward to loading up all in the name of training! I want to show them that we're together all the way and any support you are able to give will be greatly appreciated. I've signed up with only 14 weeks to work out how to run a marathon... it's going to be incredibly hard but nothing compared to the battle that people living with MND face every day.

£120 could provide an over-bed table, making it easier for someone with MND to eat, drink and read safely and comfortably in bed

£280 could fund the coordination of care for someone with MND at a Care Centre for a year

£500 could provide a tablet device with specialist communication software, allowing someone to communicate with loved ones

Every penny raised from The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon will bring us closer to achieving our ultimate mission; a world free from MND.
