Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. In January 2024, my partners mum Karen passed away at St John's Hospice surrounded by her loved ones.

Karen received such incredible support, care and compassion from the staff at St John's Hospice throughout her treatment for breast cancer and in her final days.

The Challenge

On Sunday 8 September, I will be running the Great North Run in Karen's memory.

It will be my first half marathon and I'd like to raise funds for the hospice. I hope this will help others' continue to receive and benefit from the invaluable services they provide.

I will be running alongside Ben and Liv (Karens' son and daughter), and friends and family. We hope to raise as much money for this fantastic cause as possible.

St John's Hospice

St John’s Hospice is dedicated to the provision of Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care to adult patients and their families in and around the Doncaster locality.

The hospice has been looking after people at the end of their lives for over 31 years and every penny donated goes towards enabling them to go above and beyond for patients and families.

St John's Hospice need to raise £500,000 a year to support the additional services and care they provide over and above our NHS Funding.

Any support you're able to provide would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
