Event: Tour of the TAP, from 13 September 2023 to 22 September 2023
Cure Leukaemia is excited to introduce our newest cycling event to our portfolio - the Tour of the TAP. The event will see 15 keen cyclists tackling over 1,000 miles across Britain in 10 days.

Story

On 22nd September 2023, I will be joining Cure Leukaemia's Tour of the TAP cycle to help raise vital funds for Cure Leukaemia, offering patients across the UK hope in their battle against blood cancer.

Starting in Belfast, the event will see the team ride over 1,000 miles across 10 days - visiting the 15 Blood Cancer centres that Cure Leukaemia fund along the way - finishing in Birmingham on Friday 22nd September.

I will be joining the team on Stage 10 of the tour cycling the final 105 miles from Cardiff, and hopefully making it all the way to Birmingham. My longest bike ride so far is 45 miles so cycling 105 miles in around 8/9 hours is going to be a big challenge but it's all for a very worthy cause.

Your generosity means Cure Leukaemia can help the prospects of blood cancer patients by funding more nurses and running more clinical trials through the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network of 15 centres across the UK.

PwC UK will match donations £1 for £1 up to £250 so every little counts!

Thank you!

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
