Belfast Marathon Relay 2024 · 5 May 2024 ·

We provide three days emergency food and practical support to help people cope in a crisis. The foodbank is run by Colin Glen Christian Fellowship.

Story

On Sunday 5th May, the feast day of Edmund Rice, three teachers and two students from the Social Justice Advocacy Group will take part in the Belfast Marathon Team Relay to raise money for the South-West Belfast Foodbank. This project supports local members of our community who are facing food poverty due to a range of issues beyond their control. Edmund Rice placed great importance on tackling social injustices and he often provided food for local members of the community with his own funds. It is fitting that we celebrate his life and legacy on his feast day by supporting this crucial support service!

Any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference to local individuals and families who face food poverty during this cost of living crisis.

Thank you, from the Social Justice Advocacy Group!
