Alan's Ben Nevis 2023 fundraiser for Sheffield Oratorio Chorus

Mountain climb · 17 July 2023
During week commencing 17th July 2023, Alan, our Conductor and Musical Director, will be climbing Ben Nevis together with choir members Jane and Michaela and their trusty four-legged walking buddy Dio to raise funds for future concerts and projects.
We are passionate about singing and in order to be able to keep supporting young musicians in the early stages of their careers and perform both well-known large scale choral works as well as newer and less frequently perfomed pieces, we need to raise additional funds.
_________
Sheffield Oratorio Chorus has been at the forefront of classical mixed voice choral singing in South Yorkshire since 1948. We aim to make a high-quality contribution to the musical life of the city of Sheffield and the local region.
Our repertoire extends from the Renaissance to the present day with an emphasis on large scale choral works.
We have performed with world class soloists as well as some of the top orchestral ensembles in the North of England.
A typical season comprises 4 concerts per year at various venues in Sheffield including Sheffield Cathedral and Ecclesall Parish Church.
The choir welcomes new members in all voice parts.
