Climbing Snowdon for Laura & for MIND · 4 April 2026

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

On the 4th April 2026, we (Tarnya, Emma, Charlotte, James, Aaliyah, Harrison and the big doofus dog Teddy) will be climbing Snowdon in honour of our beautiful friend Laura and in support of the mental health charity MIND.

This climb also means a lot to us because it’s what Tarnya has chosen to do for her birthday this year. Instead of gifts or celebrations, she wanted to take on something meaningful - something that honours Laura, brings us together, and raises money for a cause close to all of our hearts.

Earlier this year, our world changed when Laura tragically took her own life. Losing her has been heartbreaking in a way that’s difficult to put into words. Laura was bright, funny, warm, stubborn in the best way, and loved by so many. Her passing has shown us just how important it is that people receive real, accessible support before they reach crisis point.

That’s why we’ve chosen to support MIND. They provide life-saving advice, information, and advocacy for people struggling with their mental health. They fight for better services, better understanding, and better help for people who are hurting - the kind of help we wish Laura could have had, and the kind of help that could protect so many others.

Why Snowdon?

We wanted to do something challenging, something symbolic, something that would require strength, teamwork, and determination - the kind of qualities people need when they’re fighting their own internal battles.

For the next few months, we’ll be training (in all weather!), taking Teddy on long practice hikes, and preparing ourselves physically and mentally for the climb. None of us are seasoned mountaineers - which makes this all the more meaningful.

Our Goal

We’re aiming to raise £500 for MIND. Every donation, no matter the amount, takes us one step closer to helping the charity continue its vital work.

If you’d like to support our climb, honour Laura’s memory, or simply stand with us in the belief that mental health matters - we’d be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for reading, thank you for donating if you can, and thank you for helping us keep Laura’s memory alive in a way that gives something back.

For Laura. For everyone struggling. For hope.
