Story
My name is Steve, and I live with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Alongside my good friend David, I’m taking on the challenge of riding the world’s fastest zip line to raise funds for SMA UK.
You may have seen SMA in the media more recently, with growing attention on the condition and the impact it has on people and families. For me it’s everyday life. And for nearly 40 years, SMA UK has been there for people like me.
They provide practical support and information, help families access the care and treatments they need, fund vital research, and give a voice to the SMA community. Their work supports not just individuals, but parents, carers, and everyone affected by this condition.
This challenge is my way of giving something back. With your support, we can build on that growing awareness, help more families feel supported, and make sure SMA UK can continue the life-changing work so many of us rely on.
