Your donations will be used to directly support Youth In Need's programs that work directly with youth experiencing homelessness. For Instance:

• $10 provides one fast food meal for one youth.

• $42 feeds one youth at Youth In Need's Emergency Shelter for 1 week.

• $125 keeps Youth In Need's Street Outreach van running for 1 week.

Did you know that on any given night there are more than 1,500 youth experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis area? It's true, in fact one in 10 18- to 25-year-olds, and one in 30 13- to 17-year-olds experience homelessness every year.

• 20-40% of homeless youth experience sexual abuse, compared to 1-3% of the general youth population?

• 80% of homeless youth, aged 12-21, use drugs and/or alcohol as a means to self-medicate to deal with the traumatic experiences they face.

• 20,000+ kids in America are forced into prostitution every year, and 5,000 unaccompanied youth die as a result of assault, illness or suicide.
