We raise awareness and provide support to those with lived experience of DPDR

Story

On 20 October, I will be running the Yorkshire Marathon in memory of our dear friend, Jeff Jones.

Despite his daily struggles he was the most amazing and caring person. His passion was to run, so as it would be his 40th Birthday, I'm running this marathon in his honour to raise money for Unreal UK.

I know now is a crap time to be asking for money, but if you can spare anything at all, please do consider giving.

Unreal UK is the only charity in the UK focused solely on supporting people with DPDR. They provide crucial resources, support groups, and advocacy, striving to improve the lives of those affected and raising awareness about this often-overlooked condition. Your donation will help Unreal UK continue their vital work, providing hope and support to those who need it most.

Depersonalisation and Derealisation are distressing mental health conditions that cause sufferers to feel disconnected from their own thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. For those who are affected, the world can become an unfamiliar and often terrifying place. Unfortunately, DPDR remains poorly understood, and those affected frequently feel isolated and misunderstood.

Thank you.
