Story
I am one of eleven local businesspeople who have been put behind bars for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of forcing people to eat their fruit and veg to feel their best, and sent down with bail set at £1,000.
With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, I need your help to raise funds to pay bail and escape jail.
I want to take part in this to try and raise awareness for such an amazing cause. Unfortunately, most of us know someone who has been affected by or has had cancer. I sadly lost my Dad to it a couple of years ago and saw firsthand how difficult it is to see someone go through it and the toll it takes on your loved ones. So let's raise some money for such a great cause!
For many people living in the Northeast, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people at any stage and with any type of cancer, and to their family and friends.
In the past decade Maggie’s Aberdeen have received over 80,000 visits, provided tens of thousands of hours of 1-2-1 psychological and specialist cancer support and raised £9,000,000 in financial gains for local people. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills to fund their work, and with instances of cancer 1 in 2 people, there is huge demand for the support they provide. Please bail me out and help Maggie’s – every £ will help.
