One in 10 people don’t have water close to home and one in five people don’t have a decent toilet of their own. For 21 years, choirs have been joining voices and forces at Sing for Water events to support WaterAid projects around the world.
Sing for Water London may not be taking place at the Scoop this year but the need for clean water continues, so we’re inviting you to get creative locally.

ABOUT
Sing for Water was initiated by composer Helen Chadwick as a project to fundraise for WaterAid at The Thames Festival in 2002. Mass choral events now take place across the country and have raised over £1.2 million for WaterAid's life-saving projects providing clean water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities.

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good. Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
