Story

Raise your voice and raise vital funds for the Stroke Association this World Stroke Day.

Hobbs Rehabilitation Winchester are holding a Sing4Stroke singing session, with Steph, a professional choir leader, on Monday 4th November.

Join us in the gym at Hobbs Winchester, at 12pm for coffee and cake, before we are led in song from 12.30pm. We will have fun and raise vital funds for the Stroke Association in aid of World Stroke Day. All proceeds go to the Stroke Association.

Over 240 people a day wake up to the catastrophic impact of stroke. Some stroke survivors can have difficulties speaking after a stroke, this is known as aphasia. This can be extremely challenging, but recovery is possible.

Did you know singing is a powerful tool in stroke recovery? Because music and singing is processed in a different part of the brain to spoken language, some people with aphasia find that they can sing easily, even though speaking is hard.

Make sure you share your amazing singing fundraising with the hashtag #Sing4Stroke.
