Story
This November, I’m hosting Sing Joyfully 2024, a special two-day vocal workshop designed to celebrate the joy of ensemble singing. But on Day One, our voices will carry an even greater purpose. We are embarking on a heartfelt quest to raise funds for Worldwide Cancer Research, and we need your support.
Why We Sing for This Cause
Cancer has touched the lives of so many of us. In our musical community alone, we’ve lost beloved friends and fellow singers—people who brought light, laughter, and warmth into our rehearsals and performances. Others in our group have faced their own battles, bravely enduring the uncertainty and challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. Day One of Sing Joyfully! will be dedicated to honouring them, using the power of our collective voices to contribute to a cause that is close to our hearts.
Why it Matters
Worldwide Cancer Research funds innovative, cutting-edge projects that are working towards better treatments and, hopefully, one day, cures for all types of cancer. Their work is vital, and we can help by raising our voices—not just in song, but in support of this important cause.
On Day One of Sing Joyfully 2024, we’ll be singing in their memory and in celebration of all who are battling cancer. It’s not just about the music—it’s about coming together to do something meaningful, to honour those we love, and to support research that will benefit us all.
How You Can Help
Whether you’ll be singing with us or supporting from afar, any donation you can make will go towards funding this vital work. Every pound does make a difference, and together we can help bring about change for the better.
Let’s make this day count. Share this page, spread the word, and let’s raise our voices for a cause that’s close to so many of our hearts.
Thank you for being a part of this.
