Story

Newport Cathedral Choir are completing a sponsored PEACE Walk across the Severn Bridge.

The choristers would be thrilled if you would sponsor them. THANK YOU.

Coram campaigns for children’s rights and wellbeing, making children’s lives better through legal support, adoption, therapy, educational & cultural programmes

- The Severn-Wye Bridge is dedicated to WORLD PEACE

- It was dedicated as a Sri Chinmoy Peace Bridge on 15th November 1991.

- Sri Chinmoy, who lived from 1931-2007, was known worldwide as a dreamer of peace, and dedicated his life to the service of humanity.

- He was the founder of the World Harmony Run and the Severn Bridge was dedicated to world peace after the run crossed it, from Wales to England, as part of their 20000km journey through 40 European countries.

- Other Sri Chinmoy peace sites include Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House and the Matterhorn.

We will walk from the Welsh side of the bridge over to the Severn View

Service Station on the English side of the bridge… and back!

Coram is the UK children's charity that has been supporting vulnerable children for 279 years, and is still finding new ways to help children. We now help around 1.4 million children and young people every year.
