Story
As-Salamu ’Alaikum
I pray this message is received in good health. Alhamdulillah we are blessed to see another Ramadan, May Allah reward us on our efforts.
Our group have been given the opportunity by the will of Allah, and we will be starting a new project, which is to reconstruct and revive an orphanage in Bangladesh for babies and children from 0-6 years old. A place where there are so many abandoned babies with an unsuitable standard of living, who have no place to be safely brought up, let alone not having parents.
A lot of these babies are abandoned because their families can not afford to feed themselves let alone their children. There are various more sensitive and vile situations, that unfortunately occur causing unwanted births for vulnerable people. Because of these circumstances, there are children who are deprived of a parents love and care, and left helpless.
Every baby and child has a right to be cared for and giving basic necessities and have an opportunity to have love. A roof over their heads and a meal to eat, that’s the least we should provide for them, as they are already deprived of a parent and child relationship, that they did not choose. We together can provide them a shelter where they can at least be a child. A child who can eat play and sleep.
Let us not forget our beloved prophet Muhammad SWS was an orphan himself.
And he Prophet Muhammad SWS, said that
“I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an orphan.”
And he Muhammad SWS, raised his forefinger and middle finger together to emphasise the closeness.
I want us all to be a part of the progress of these babies and children.
It is also an opportunity for us all to receive ongoing rewards and it just may be that these contributions of Sadaqah become our door to Jannah (Baab As-Sadaqah).
Another year goes by and we are blessed by the will of Allah to see yet another Ramadan whilst remembering those who are not with us anymore. Giving in the name of those amongst our loved ones who have passed will be beneficial for the Akhirah. May Allah reward our efforts in abundance.
