Story

Thank you for taking the time to sponsor me to participate in the HWF Doctors Run on 20th October 2024 where I aim to run my first 10k!

I am a trustee of the Healthcare Workers Foundation, a charity for health workers by health workers.

There are many unsung heroes in the NHS, from nurses to porters, who we support through difficult times with hardship grants, bereavement grants, therapy and more.

In order to increase the support we have available, several of our trustees have created the HWF Doctors Run to take place in the Queen Elizabeth II Park on Sunday 20th October.

All funds raised from the event will help people like Sam (not her real name) who was the recent recipient of a £250 grant. As she says "This grant will help me to be able to make my home a home, after fleeing domestic violence it has been very hard to start again with nothing. This grant means I will be able to buy wardrobes to be able to put my children's clothes away and create a environment that they will have space to play and be comfortable. I am truly grateful."

I hope you can support me raise money for those that help us! Any little helps, thank you 🙏🏻
