Story
Members and supporters of Girlguiding North West England are raising money for girls and young women across the region by taking part in a sky dive on 2 June!
Girlguiding NWE offers girls and young women the chance to have fun, find adventure and the space to discover their potential.
They go to their first ever sleepover, canoe on rivers, learn about body confidence, and lead their own camp. Or sometimes they simply have fun and try new things with friends.
Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead, to speaking out on issues they care about. It helps them develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be. And to make a difference to the world around them.
I've been a member of Girlguiding for over 30 years as a leader and encourage the girls in our group to try to step out of their comfort zone and do something which challenges them so thought it was only fair that I challenge myself - and this is definitely outside my comfort zone!
