Story
Help me raise funds for WWTW as I embark on a 100km trek through the southern Moroccan Sahara.
2 years ago, a group of friends and misfits got together to walk over 100km across the Jordanian desert in aid of the wonderful Walking With The Wounded charity.
Well guess what? We’re only going to go and do it again, only this time we’ll be in the Sahara. Setting off on 18th February, we will be supported by camels and wild camping in the dunes every night, and we’re aiming to walk 100+kms in 4 days.
With an average age of well over 60, some of us are not in our prime, but the baking heat, dust, aches and pains will all be worth it if we can raise another mighty sum for such a splendid charity.
Too many veterans and their families struggle to cope after military service, and WWTW helps to reignite their sense of purpose, enabling them to make a positive contribution to their communities and lead independent lives.
I’ve been doing daft things to raise money for this brilliant organisation for a few years now, and I’d be thrilled if you could help me do it again.
