Story
Envision's aim is to build a society where a young person’s background doesn’t determine their future. Young people from less-advantaged backgrounds too often miss out on opportunities in and outside school to build the confidence and essential skills they need to succeed in later life.
Envision's work is very close to my heart, and I see the work it does at first hand at the schools in South East London where I am a Governor. I have seen it transform lives for participants,
This is the seventh year of the bike ride and I have done every one. I am particularly looking forward to this one as it goes through places like Rye and Eastbourne which were a part of my childhood, and finishes in Tunbridge Wells, which was where Heartwood (the business we built up) was started and still has a major office. I know it well!
The bike ride has proved instrumental in revitalising Envision, building contacts and enabling it to help more young people (the number of people doing the Envision programme has risen 50% over the last two years. I am particularly delighted that this school year Envision is expanding into the Black Country and West Midlands conurbation - the sort of area where it is particularly needed. Any funds you donate will support Envision's continued growth and enable it to transform opportunity for more young people. Thank you very much.
