Story
This is the 6th Envision Cycling Challenge, and starting these rides was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I've had nothing to do with organising this one though, so thanks to Andrew, Ella, CJ and Clive and all those who have done all the work, but I'm still going to ride it. This year looks like a fantastic route, starting in Swansea and finishing in Henley and taking in the Brecon Beacons and Severn Bridge along the way.
Whether it's the first time or the sixth time I've asked you, I'd be incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Envision is a fantastic charity, and is brilliantly run. It genuinely transforms the life chances of up to 2,000 young people a year - for less than some players earn in a fortnight playing football in Saudi Arabia... I know your donation will be spent wisely and will make a real difference - there's more about Envision below.
Envision
At Envision we believe a young person's background mustn't determine their future.
However, young people from less advantaged backgrounds are twice as likely to be out of work, school or training in the future. At Envision we empower young people from less-advantaged backgrounds, who are often underrepresented in the world of work, to develop the essential skills and confidence they need to succeed in later life.
Working in partnership with schools, we unite young people with trained Envision staff, local partners and business mentors to tackle social issues affecting their community. By supporting them to make change happen, we empower young people to develop skills beyond their classroom so they can shape their own futures.
