Story
As many of you will be aware – and indeed a large number of you have joined previous challenges - I walked (with my good friend Paul Turrell) almost 900 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 2020, and then in reverse in 2021, and the almost 500 miles El Camino in 2023, with the primary aim of raising money for the charities run by a good friend, Mike Palfreman.
This year, rather than walking extreme distances, I will be running the London Marathon in support of Jersey Hospice Care.
Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative care service and the island’s only hospice, providing holistic care for patients with any life limiting illness. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity and makes no charge to patients. It costs £14,800 a day to run the charity’s services. Funding for our care services is thanks to the generosity of Islanders.
We are here for the community because of the community. Without your continued support and generous donations this wouldn’t be possible.
