Simon & Angie’s fundraiser for Wirral Hospice St John's

Golf Event · 16 May 2024
As many will know, my amazing wife is currently enduring the toughest of battles against Bowel cancer. She's a tough cookie and we are all being really positive.
In July 2022, our world was turned upside down when she had a scan for a suspected gallstone resulting in finding an 8cm tumour in her colon and a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. We didn’t know at the time but not all colon cancers are the same - she has a BRAF gene mutation which is the least common at less than 10% of cases. Unfortunately, for the Bowel Cancer subset of BRAF patients, there are fewer treatment options and this mutation has the worst survival outcome.
Our family and friends have been amazing through the last 2 years and we are so grateful for all the support and prayers.
At this stage on our journey, we are now campaigning to raise money for Wirral hospice St John’s who have been incredible in supporting Angie with her everyday needs and to raise awareness of #breakingBRAF, a group dedicated to campaigning for much needed BRAF research.
Wirral Hospice St John's relies on donations and fundraising activities to help the charity keep caring for patients and their loved ones at a time of most need.
On May 16th, 2024 , we are hosting a charity Golf Day event with friends and family to come together to celebrate life and raise funds for this important cause. We would welcome your contribution to this fundraising event!
Thank you for your kind support. Together, we can make a real impact!
