In my work as an optometrist at Specsavers in Ashbourne I come across many patients who suffer from sight loss that cannot be cured or fully corrected by glasses, and these people require specialist support in managing their day-to-day lives with their sight loss. This is where Sight Support Derbyshire comes in, who have been helping people in Derby and surrounding areas for 110 years! I am running the challenging but picturesque Ashbourne Half Marathon up the hills of the Peak District on Sunday 7th July and would appreciate any donations big or small!
