Story
From delivering successful projects together to raising money for charity. Siemens Electrification are teaming up with Caztec Electrical Contractors and Edmundson Electrical to raise money for York Carers Centre.
The Siemens Electrification team are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Wednesday 7th August where we hope to summit the peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside all within 12 hours.
We would appreciate any donation you could give and your prayers for some decent weather on the day.
The Charity
York Carers Centre is an independent charity supporting unpaid carers in York. An unpaid carer is someone who provides regular, unpaid help to someone close to them due to frailty, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.
We want to make it easy for carers to get help from us and hold regular activities in local venues.
How we help:
• Information & Advice
• Someone to talk to
• Emotional support
• Events & Workshops
• Carers Assessments
• Carers Discount Card
• Carers Emergency Card
• Newsletters & Ebulletins
Many carers do not recognise themselves as carers. Carers can be any age. They are parents, grandparents, children, partners, friends or neighbours doing what needs to be done to maintain the quality of life for someone close to them. They may not realise that support is available to help them.
York Carers Centre supports carers of all ages:
• Young Carers (aged 5 to 18)
• Young Adult Carers (aged 18 to 25)
• Adult Carers (25+)
Our main funders are the City of York Council and Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership.
We rely on grants from charitable trusts, individual giving and fundraising to enable us to deliver specific projects.
