Story
We are Sam, Stanley, William, Dylan and Ollie from the U15s Sidcup Rugby team.
We are walking 15 miles to four different local rugby clubs to raise money for the Wooden Spoon Charity. We are doing this to build our life skills and get more involved in rugby, but most importantly to help those less privileged than ourselves.
We are part or the Rugby Project, which aims to build confidence through supporting our clubs and community with volunteering and fundraising
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.
Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help.
Our vision is that through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities.
We will be walking 15 miles via local rugby clubs to raise money.
