CASBA's 500 Miles Challenge 2023
Campaign by CASBA (RCN 701365)
Following our successful 500-miles challenge last year, we're asking people to do it again in 2023. If you can get a team together, please walk as many miles together as you can and raise money for our vital work to give the gift of independence.

Story

My dad works for CASBA. It's is a fantastic charity that has been there for people with learning disabilities for 35 years.

Last year we raised money by walking 500 miles in total as a family. This year, I'm doing two bike rides - one to the Sutton Park in the north of Birmingham, and one to Waseley Hills in the south on two days at the end of May. These will mean 50 miles of cycling! I only learned to ride last year, but I love cycling and I want to help. I also love sloths, so Pedro (in the photo) will come with me on the two rides (as well as my dad).

CASBA listen to the needs of people with learning disabilities and involve them in planning their services. The work they do is vital to the community in south Birmingham and I want to help them to reach more people.

By helping me to raise more money for CASBA you can be part of this story and ensure that CASBA helps hundreds more people every year.

CASBA is an advocacy service for people with Learning Disabilities. We support them to speak up for themselves or if necessary, speak up for them if they are unable to do so themselves, so that their voices are heard and their rights recognised.
