Story
Hi everyone!
This October, I’m taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon, and I’d love your support! As a student adult nurse at Cardiff University, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible individuals facing mental health challenges, living with cancer, and those receiving neuroscience care. My mum, who’s also a dedicated mental health nurse, has been a huge inspiration to me, and I’m proud to run for causes so close to my heart.
I’m raising money for Cardiff University’s neuroscience, mental health, and cancer research - work that is transforming lives. Your donations will directly support the next generation of researchers, helping to accelerate life-changing discoveries in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Cardiff’s neuroscience researchers are tackling some of the most debilitating conditions, from ADHD and depression to schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s. Meanwhile, their cancer researchers are working to improve outcomes for patients living with both common cancers like breast, prostate, and bowel, and rarer, harder-to-treat types.
This research has the power to give hope, extend lives, and make a real difference for people and their families. Every pound you donate will help drive forward innovations that change lives, right here in Cardiff and far beyond.
I’m grateful to be running alongside my amazing friends, who are also child and adult nursing students. They inspire me every day with their dedication and compassion, and I’m so proud to be sharing this journey with them. Many of them are running for incredible charities like the NSPCC and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital, making a difference for children and families in need. Together, we’re combining our passion for nursing and helping others, both on the course and in our fundraising efforts.
Thank you so much for your support—it means the world to me, and to everyone whose lives this research will touch.
