Story
September 2020 was when I began my running journey. Starting off with the Couch to 5k app. Each week, I did not think I would imagine I would complete it, let alone enjoy it. It has now become an addictive sport I thoroughly have a passion for.
After completing the C25K, we were still just coming out of lockdown and getting back to normal so I took part in various virtual challenges. I ran around the town dressed in a Santa outfit, I completed a 50 mile a month challenge, Run Rabbit Run for Easter, race at your pace virtuals. All whilst doing plenty of 5ks and 10k runs.
I went on to do 2 x Mud Run events which were brilliant and 2 x local hilly runs in The Cotswolds. Running for me had always been just a thing for ME. My own space, my own zone, but doing races with people helped me push my boundaries and work a little harder.
I kept saying to myself “I want to do a Half” as it’s been one goal to tick off the list. And I’ve finally pulled up my big girl pants and booked one. So here I am, I am fundraising for Sue Ryder. I know in which a charity that is very special to many many people. And with any donation, will not only help them. But it will also help inspire me to get my little legs over that finish line.
Booking a half makes me feel overwhelmed, excited, nervous, buzzing but I am focused to work hard and train for it.
Im not a fast runner, im not aiming for PBs. I just want to cross that finish line and say “I DID IT”
So please with your support, every little helps.
Thank You
