All Explorers taking part in the Young Leader training weekend will take part in an exhilarating fundraiser to kick off 2025: a fancy-dress Loonie dook in the famous Loch Goil to fundraise for Scouts Scotland. Any amount, no matter how small, can make a difference.

I've challenged myself to help Scouts Scotland raise £25,025 in 2025 to help more young people to experience the life-changing power of adventure through Scouts.

Not every young person has the opportunity to participate in Scouts. Some struggle to afford camp and equipment, while many others have no Scout group in their community. I want to change that.

The money I raise will subsidise young people who could not otherwise afford it to go on nights away, help Scouts Scotland reach new communities, pay for equipment like tents and waterproofs to support young people who cannot afford their own, and help renew ageing infrastructure at Scout Scotland's outdoor centres to keep costs down.
