Story

Thank you for visiting my Sepsis Savvy Walk fundraising page! 💜

Last spring, I was unexpectedly hospitalised with Sepsis - a life-threatening condition that can escalate at an alarming rate. Within just two days, I went from feeling unwell to being placed on a ventilator in critical condition. The sudden and severe nature of Sepsis makes it incredibly difficult to diagnose, and many healthcare professionals still struggle to recognise it in time...

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. Sepsis is under-recognised, yet it affects so many lives. By supporting the UK Sepsis Trust, we can help raise awareness, educate healthcare professionals, and provide vital support for those impacted by this devastating illness.

I am walking to spread awareness and reduce the chances of Sepsis going unnoticed for others. Your donation - no matter the size - will make a real difference.

💜Together, we can save lives 💜

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
