Help me raise £50.00 or more for Birmingham Christmas Shelter to enable adults who are alone or homeless at Christmas to enjoy the festive spirit with good food and company like you do.
Birmingham Christmas Shelter is opening its doors again during Christmas week 2023 to provide hot meals and drinks, entertainment, services, emergency clothing and a safe and warm place to sleep for those who would be lonely or homeless over the Christmas period. This is a time when the majority of other services in the Birmingham area are closed for the festive season.
The charity receives no public funding and relies completely on donations, volunteers and community fundraising. It costs about £30k to run Shelter Week each year and 100% of the money raised goes to the charity. An average of 140 people come to the Shelter each day and about 80 people sleep at the venue each night.
You and your friends or work colleagues can help me in my fundraising, by finding ways to raise at least £50.00 over the coming weeks.
