Story
I am not a cyclist in fact I don’t even own a bike, sponsor me to support Solving Kids Cancer in memory of my beautiful little Beau.
29 team mates from Zimmer Biomet will ride 100 miles from our head office in Swindon to our warehouse in Bridgend on the 26th and 27th of September to raise money for Solving Kids Cancer (SKC). Every two weeks a child in the UK dies of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma. We need to continue to fund causes like SKC in order to shape tomorrow and create a better world for future generations of children who may be affected by neuroblastoma.
On the 23rd Dec 2021 my world came crashing down. At 4 years old, excited at the prospect of school My beautiful little blue eyed blonde haired little Beau was diagnosed with stage 4 High risk Neuroblastoma; a rare form of childhood cancer.
I nursed my child through some of the most horrific things I have ever witnessed. I have negotiated her submission, pinned her down as she accepted the gruelling treatment on offer in the Uk for children with Neuroblastoma.
On the 4th June 2023, 13 days before her 7th Birthday. My beautiful little girl took her last breath.
SKC are a wonderful charity one with a great ethos, they drive change and fund the important research necessary to combat this horrific disease . They are not just blindly asking for change, this charity is made up of individuals and professionals who understand this landscape, they know what steps are needed to make the ultimate difference for our children. They know what outcomes they want, they know what outcomes we need and they absolutely know how to get us there.
Help them change childhood cancer forever. For our children, for our children’s children. It can’t all be for nothing. For Beau 🤍
Zimmer Biomet want to show their continued support for the work I am doing and stand behind me in raising funds for life changing research. Please donate as little or as much as you can to support Solving Kids Cancer a cause so close to our hearts - Thank you x
