Story
The climate crisis is not gender-neutral.
As its impacts worsen, women and girls are experiencing unique harm and with the fallout amplifying existing gender inequalities, women and girls face a disproportionate threat of displacement, poverty and violence.
But women and girls are also a powerful force in climate action. As innovators in green energy. As defenders of the environment and as community leaders, women are at the forefront of the fight against climate change, leading prevention, mitigation and adaptation efforts around the world.
UN Women work with their partners across the world to support and implement various programmes empowering women in the fight against climate change.
JOIN ME as I take part in the UN Women UK #ClimateJusticeChallenge where well travel the circumference of the globe to raise awareness and funds for women.
Together, we'll walk, wheel, run, dance, swim or any other form of sustainable movement from World Environment Day to COP28.
