Story
The Miscarriage Association are challenging their supporters to complete 250,000 steps throughout January, the same as the number of pregnancies that are estimated to end in miscarriage in the UK each year.
Sadly my sister unfortunately needed to use their services in 2022 after her 3rd miscarriage in June and her 4th miscarriage in October. They provide a vital service and helped her when she was at her lowest. So myself, my sister, my mum and my brother-in-law wanted to take part in this challenge as a thank you to them, to raise awareness of their services and so they can continue to do the fantastic work they do. We have come together as a team (team Koa-Phoenix) to support each other and to raise as much money as we can.
2023 marks a major milestone for the M.A. as it is their 40th anniversary year. In many ways, it’s a landmark they wish they hadn’t reached because that would mean people weren’t still enduring the heartache of pregnancy loss.
Sadly, the reality is that there’s never likely to be a cure for miscarriage. And while people are going through this often very difficult and distressing experience, the M.A. want to be here for them as they have been for hundreds of thousands over the last four decades.
By Stepping Up for the M.A. this January, I can help them to raise funds to continue their work throughout this year and beyond.
Thank you for reading this and for your support. We appreciate anything you can give and we’d like to thank you in advance for your donation.
